Multiple OS
Learn which Operating Systems you'll be able to run on your server.
Each personal computer or server is run by an Operating System - the low-level software which interacts with the hardware equipment, including peripheral devices such as a mouse and a printer, as well as any apps that are installed on the system. Any program input using a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI) is processed by sending an Application Program Interface (API) request to the OS. On a web server, each and every app runs within the parameters defined by the OS as well - priority, physical memory, processing time, and so on. This goes for both standard Internet site scripts and server-side software like a media server. If a virtual server is created on a physical one, there can be two different Operating Systems, named guest OS and host OS, so that you will be able to set up a different software environment on the very same machine.

Multiple OS in VPS Servers
Our
VPS server packages feature three Linux releases that you can choose from for the Operating System of your new server - Debian, Ubuntu and CentOS. Apart from being 100 % free, the OSs are really stable and protected and the reason to offer you the 3 of them is to ensure that you will be able to run every application that you would like, as different pieces of software have different requirements when it comes to the environment they work on. Each of the three OSs is supported by a vast community of web developers who have produced thousands of software packages that you can install and use on your VPS. Depending on the Operating System which you pick, you will also be able to select between three different Control Panels to handle your web hosting content. Of course, in case you decide that you need some other OS, we could always reinstall the server with it. As an additional upgrade, we also offer you weekly updates of the Operating System for optimum stability and security.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
We offer three Operating Systems with our
dedicated server packages - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They are all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they are freely available and they will not increase the low price of your new server, but also because they are extremely stable and secure. Each of them is supported by a huge community of web developers, so you'll be given the option to choose from thousands of software packages that you could install on your server if the application that you intend to work with has certain requirements. The Operating System will also determine what hosting Control Panel you can use because the Control Panels that we offer are compatible with specific OSs only and because we would like to provide you with as much adaptability as possible, we offer several OSs and multiple Control Panels. In case you get a server with a certain OS, we can change it upon request if it turns out that you'll need a different one. We can also keep the OS updated on a weekly basis as a part of the useful Managed Services upgrade.
